On Friday, October 26 to kick off the Maimonides theme of the year - kehillah or community - students from SHAS joined students from Maimo for a morning of extraordinary activity. The Upper School students organized stations where the younger students would stop for a few minutes to create a craft for Shabbat before moving on to the next workshop.
According to Chief Executive Officer Mr. Scott Mattoon, having the two schools together was the perfect way to build community. "It was such a wonderful blend of older students and younger students, SHAS students and Maimonides students. Each individual child had at least one partner so no one was alone during the day. It felt joyous and inclusive," said Mr. Mattoon.
