Interscholastic and intramural athletics are an extension of the classroom at Maimonides School. Students learn the importance of conditioning, teamwork and fair play; they are able to develop a healthy attitude toward competition.

Maimonides' "M-Cats," though not affiliated with any league, compete in regular-season and tournament games against a variety of opponents throughout the state. This occurs under the auspices of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA). More often than not, the M-Cats perform well enough to qualify for MIAA post-season play.

Intramural teams engage all interested students in the physical activity and friendly competition that enhance the school's overall academic experience.
